Who we are

What we collect and why

Contact forms. When you fill in a form on this site we receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to write in your message, which usually includes your wedding or photoshoot date and location. We use it only to reply to you and to prepare a quote. The legal basis is your own request to take steps before entering into a contract.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site: pages visited, approximate location at country or city level, device and browser, and how you arrived. The data is aggregated and does not identify you by name. It only runs if you accept cookies.

Meta Pixel. The site also loads the Meta Pixel, which lets us measure how our advertising performs on Facebook and Instagram and show ads to people who have visited the site. It only runs if you accept cookies. Meta acts as an independent controller for the data it receives.

Hosting. The website is built and hosted on Pixieset, which processes technical data such as IP addresses in order to serve the site and keep it secure.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Analytics and advertising cookies only load after you accept them in the banner. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the cookies for this site in your browser, which makes the banner appear again.

How long we keep your data

Messages sent through the contact form are kept while we are in touch and for as long as needed for accounting and legal records. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. It is shared only with the service providers that make this website and our work possible: Pixieset for the website and client galleries, Google for analytics and Meta for advertising measurement. Some of these providers are based outside the European Union and transfer data under the safeguards foreseen in the GDPR.

Photographs

If you hire us, the use of your photographs is covered by the contract we sign with you, not by this policy. Images from a wedding or a photoshoot are never published on this website, on social media or anywhere else outside what that contract allows.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to its use or ask for it to be limited, and request a copy in a portable format. Write to filipamarquesfotografia@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD, at www.cnpd.pt.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
